Week 4 EOC: Discussion Questions

Currently, how many divisions do Dolce and Gabbana have in their company? Has it grown since this chapter was written? If so, how?
The company has Dolce and Gabbana, D&G, and D&G Junior but I think they may be discontinuing D&G for a while and focus on the more higher end of Dolce & Gabbana Products.

Do you think Dolce and Gabbana cater to the fashionistas that the rest of the design world has rejected? Why do you think they have dressed women like Isabella Rossellini, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Brooke Shields?
Because they had bodies and curves that actual women have. They use that as a marketing technique to prove that they care about every type of women, and that everybody and every women should feel beautiful.

Do you think these women are risqué? Why or Why not?
Yes of course, they are working with D&G and they are known are risque, but it wouldn't be a bad image upon the women.

Do you think gay and lesbian consumers purchase different fashion brands than heterosexuals? Do you think it was smart for Dolce and Gabbana to target this market? Why or why not?
As a gay consumer I actually purchase things that are really close to what heterosexuals. Although people perceive the gay community to wear exposing clothing or outrageous fashion but I think it's the other way around. I think heterosexuals wear the more revealing clothing and fashion and thats something to consider thinking about, when you're going out next time.
